ECF Land Stewardship

A fundamental purpose of land trusts such as the Eastham Conservation Foundation is to acquire land with important natural and scenic value, and to protect that value by natural processes that maintain them into the future. Key to that task is Stewardship: essentially, looking after and taking care of lands entrusted to ECF.

Stewardship takes many forms including identifying land with signs and boundary markers, monitoring the condition of land, and taking action when needed to minimize problems such as unwanted human activities or encroachment of invasive non-native vegetation.
